Last Sunday, Iran into one of my neighbors and mentioned that I am looking for a dog like theirs. They tell me they have an acquaintance who is looking to rehome their dog. I contact this person, and set up a meeting time for today..... They came over with the dog, who is exactly what I am looking for in every way, only to let me know they are adopting the dog to another person. The person the dog has been staying with for the last week. When they originally adopted it out...
Am I wrong to think it rude not to have told me about other candidates and not wasted a week of my search thinking I had a sure thing?
I wish they had just cancelled on me.

eh... they probably didnt need to tell you about other candidates... but they sure as fuck should have told you it went to someone else rather than turning up with the dog just to rub it in
